A-PRO Home Inspection Services is located in Verona, WI and serves Dane county and the surrounding areas. We perform home inspections and radon testing, as well as draw and some insurance inspections. We opened in this area in December 2002. The home inspector is Mike Parkinson.

Even if someone is expecting to “gut” the property, it is best to get a professional home inspection to possibly uncover some unforeseen items. It is well worth the money and can save headaches down the line. Mike will inspect your house like it’s his own.

PHOTOGRAPHS are included at no additional charge, and the easy-to-read computerized report is sent via email the same day. Photos can help contractors identify the exact location of any problems uncovered, or can be sent to contractors for price estimates without them having to visit the property.

Telephone counseling after the inspection is always included at no additional cost. Over 500 items are inspected and a 16+ page report is given for each inspection. A Pre-Sale Inspection can also be scheduled. This allows the seller to identify potential items that may be of surprise during the buyer’s home inspection. The seller can then repair the items, or disclose the issues. This can provide a peace of mind and help deter later negotiations at a larger cost to the seller.

According to the EPA, Dane county is considered a high Radon Gas area. Each home should be tested. A Radon Continuous Monitor, 2 day test for a home costs $125. About the Inspector:
Mike Parkinson is a native of Wisconsin. He attended MATC in Human Relations. Mike was a Real Estate agent for 4+ years in the Madison area, before he decided to become a Home Inspector. He went through at 5 month mentorship to learn about the A-Pro system and performing inspections. He is excited to be the new owner of A-Pro Home Inspection Services in the Madison area.

Mike is a graduate of American Home Inspector's Training Institute (AHIT), a member of NACHI, as well as an affiliate member of the Wisconsin Realtors Association.
